Jazz

Jazz is music genre that begins in early starting of 20^th century in African American groups in New Orleans. Jazz is mixture of African blues and modern music.  The singer is always editing something own some kind of improvisation. When some player have solo or there is no singing, like normal lyrics the singer is trying to fit in the rhythm and music some maybe sound, or repeating some words, phrases. It is very relaxing music. It is like some kind of candy for your soul. The power and encouragement comes from the song. When I’m feeling sad I almost always play some good jazz, blues or reggae.  Very typical instruments are saxophone, piano and trumpet. My personal dream is to learn how to play on saxophone. I first heard saxophone in jazz song, so that is why I love this genre.

The Old Man and the Sea

 On one of our subjects we need to read this very interesting book. The name of the book is The Old Man and the Sea and it is written by Ernest Hemingway.  From the beginning I was very excited about this book, because I heard a lot of good things about this author.  The book and the complete story is full of details, explanations and tricks that have a lot to do with fishing or life of fisherman. Sometime I feel like he is describing one part of some fishing equipment for three pages. But it is not true. He can tell so many precise details about one think that it seems to us or me that he is writing the same over and over again. It is masterpiece. I love this book and if you haven’t read it yet. Find a time for this very good book.

Only child

Lot of my good friends are the only child. It means that you do not have any siblings.

Most of them are saying that they are very happy about this fact. I cannot agree with them even though I have two brothers. They think that the parents care more about them, when they are only child. I think the parent should love and take care for the one child as much for more children.  I think that it is very good sense when you are feeling very bad, unhappy and sad and you have the option to talk with someone close like your sibling. From my experience, I have never felt like really bored when I was smaller. There were always my two big brothers that I had the option to hang out, play sports or just talk. I don’t know if you agree with me, but it is better to solve personal problems with your siblings then someone other.

Tennis

Tennis is the best sport I have ever played. Tennis is a connection of everything. In tennis you are using every part of your body. You are using legs for running and your whole body to keep balance and the right angle of hitting the ball. Also arms are very important for doing the basic, hitting the ball with the right power, angle and rotation.  Tennis is also very demanding for condition and for your muscles, joints and tendons. All those stop-starts, accelerations and swings are slowly destroying your whole body. No wonder that tennis players aren’t playing tennis that long. I love this sport. I have been playing tennis for eight years and I am very happy that I have picked this sport. Also there are some dark sides of it. You are exercising only with one side of your body. It depends if you are right-hander or left-hander. The other side which you are not using is a lot weaker than the side that you are playing with. But forget it, tennis is game of kings. And if you are talented tennis player continue improving yourself.

Adventure Rock

Adventure Rock is virtual online game for children aged between 6-12 created by BBC. This project is also connected with University of Westminster their goal is to find out how children create imaginary places and spaces in real world. My personal opinion is, that this game is on very low graphic quality, or maybe the trailer video is bad, but still I am not big fan of massive online virtual games. There is only one goal. You just do some quests and that is all. It doesn't matter if the game is on high quality or not. Also these types of online games, are very addictive. But do not forget, this is only my opinion based on the video. I haven't played the game so I cannot definitely say that it is stupid or not. And also another point of view. They are using this project to help find out more about children fantasy. So when it is used properly and for research I agree with that idea.

Flying high

                 This story take place in Africa. In small town of Kenya, in a small village called Thika. A little baby named Emanuel was born in this village. Emanuel was a very good baby, very talented. He always cheered people with his beautiful charming smile. Emanuel was also very popular with the teachers at school. He was a very clever boy for his age. He knows how to read or how to write very good. His mum was very proud of him. She yearned for Emanuel to become a great and famous scientist. But she didn't know that Emanuel's life journey would be completely different, until one day in a meadow next to their home.

               They were simply celebrating Emanuel's tenth birthday. Emanuel was laying on the ground and talking with his family. Suddenly a friend of Emanuel, Jacob bumped into Emanuel.  Jacob was a very good football player and he asked Emanuel if he wanted to play football with him and other guys from the village. Emanuel was very surprised and dreaded that Jacob called exactly him. It was very unusual because, nobody wanted to play with him. They were telling him that he is a nerd and his boots are tattered and cheap. He was the center of bullying because of his intelligence. He never got chance to show what kind of football spirit is in him.  But Emanuel didn't hold back and jumped and started playing with big joy. Emanuel wasn't really confident in what he was doing, but somehow he liked the game and he had become more addicted to football. He got speed, technique, creativity and brain to play football. His legs were running like never before. Emanuel  started to be more and more attached to football and his mother noticed. There are not many opportunities to improve in something in Africa, because of the bad conditions and generally the environment was very drab. But Emanuel's family tried to make suitable conditions for theirs talented member of family. Emanuel finally registered to Football club of Thika. His life took an opposite direction. His life goal was uncovered. The rest of Emanuel's puberty and some years after, he was playing on position of forward for Thika Football club. Emanuel was the most valuable player on the field. He was shooting goals like it was nothing, when the defense needed help he was there, his passes and tricks were elaborated, it was like a feast for eyes, no wonder a famous European club was interested in Emanuel.

             Of course he accepted the offering. His life was and is an example to for other African kids that are losing faith and living in poor conditions, but as you can see they are super talented and they have the right to show how high they can fly.
